NextEdge is extremely dedicated to the safety our own team members, as well as others across the wireless industry. Our VP of Environmental Health & Safety, 25+ year veteran Jeff Hamm, CHST, has been working with the #NATEOSHAFCCPartnership Steering Committee and the NATE OSHA Relations Committee, to advise on updated safety standards for cell tower climbers. Earlier this month, we enjoyed great weather, fantastic company, and a fun round of golf with our customers at the T-Mobile Golf Tournament in Seattle, WA. Even better, the proceeds went to charities like the #towerfamilyfoundation and #warriors4wireless. Glad to hear that our team in Houston is, in the words of Jeremy Thompson, not just surviving but thriving in the wake of #hurricaneberyl. We've been trucking in water, ice, coolers, generators, deep freezes, chainsaws, fuel, and food, to help them beat the July heat from our offices all over Texas, while they've been coming together to support our customers' efforts to restore cell service.

Many of our team have been camping out at the office, to better support our customers, and because power was restored early there. And, the team have been banding together to take care of each other and the community - clearing downed trees, checking on houses and families, and grilling out for each other and for others in the community still without power.

We're doing what we can to support the greater Houston community in the wake of #hurricaneberyl. Thankfully, we believe that all of our NextEdge team members are safe, though many are without power and are likely to be for some time - we've got a group organizing all manner of supplies to help them and their families. In addition, we've already sprinted into action to support our customers with boots on the ground, helping them as they restore cell service.

If you are either a team member or a customer, need to get in touch with us out of Houston, and regular communication channels are not working, we'll be paying extra attention to our social media messages for the next several days. Reach out, and we'll respond as quickly as possible.

Along with America’s birthday, we had a lot to celebrate over the July 4th holiday! Our Source Broadband Services team in Tennessee was awarded @comcast 's #1 Outstanding Overall Performance Award for fiber and coax construction contractors in the Big South region. Huge congratulations are in order to Tim Harris and the Source Broadband team for their hard work and attention to quality! Earlier this week in Las Vegas, we had the privilege of hosting a great group of EV professionals from various parts of the industry for a roundtable discussion on solutions to common issues.

Our group included fleet owners, charging providers, real estate developers, local utilities, and equipment providers. The conversation was extremely productive and offered useful solutions to our participants. We know it was extremely valuable for us on the latest trends in the EV market. Then, we took to the Paiute Golf Resort’s Wolf Course for a tough round of golf against a stunning desert backdrop.
